DON DEREK SORRELLS
Pastor
District Elder Don Derek Sorrells, Th.D. is a devoted servant of Christ with over 30 years of ministry experience, known for preaching a powerful yet compassionate message of hope, deliverance, and transformation through Jesus Christ. A holistic disciple and evangelist, he believes in the call of a remnant people—called out and called upon for such a time as this—and is committed to presenting the gospel in a clear, practical way that can be applied to everyday life.
Elder Sorrells is the Founder and Pastor of Ekklesia Temple Apostolic Church, established on April 8, 2018, following 28 years of faithful service as an associate minister at Christ Temple Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop Donald Sorrells, D.D. He has served in numerous leadership roles within the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ, holds advanced theological and Christian education degrees, is the author of two books, and has taught theological courses and seminars at multiple levels.
He has been joyfully married for over 40 years to his wife Regina, his inspiration and partner in ministry, and is the proud father of three children—Santwon, Sonya, and Sabrina. Above all, District Elder Sorrells remains focused on winning souls, equipping believers, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
REGINA SORRELLS
First Lady
Lady Regina Sorrells is a devoted servant of Christ with more than 30 years of faithful ministry. One of her greatest joys is serving the people of God and the community. Her life is centered on honoring God, seeking His will, and allowing herself to be used as a vessel for His divine purposes.
Lady Sorrells has faithfully served in numerous ministries at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church under the leadership of the late Presiding Bishop Elzie W. Young. She also served at Christ Temple Apostolic Church under the late, honorable Presiding Bishop Donald Sorrells. During her years of service, she held the role of Women’s Auxiliary President for two terms and dedicated more than 20 years of continuous service across multiple ministries.
Her favorite scriptures, Matthew 6:33 and Hebrews 11:1, reflect her unwavering belief in putting God first in all things and trusting Him completely, knowing that apart from Him she can do nothing.
Lady Sorrells has been happily married to her husband, Derek, who is the love of her life for over 40 years. She is the proud mother of three remarkable children Santwon, Sonya, and Sabrina whom she cherishes deeply. With a heart committed to prayer, she continues to seek God’s wisdom and guidance for the ongoing growth and advancement of His Kingdom.
